01 / MATERIALS & PERFORMANCE
Fabric Composition
Compare these blend options for fabric feel, stretch, shape and care needs. The shell, inner shorts and waistband may use different constructions. Final material specifications depend on the selected fabric.
| Component and blend | Useful for | Tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Shell: 90% polyester / 10% elastane | Structured stretch shell for regular golf movement | More polyester can support shape retention, while the shell may feel less soft than a higher-nylon option |
| Shell: 88% polyester / 12% elastane | More stretch in the outer skirt | Extra stretch can improve movement but may change drape and recovery |
| Shell: 92% nylon / 8% elastane | Smoother-feel stretch shell | Nylon can raise material cost and needs color and care review |
| Inner shorts: 80% polyester / 20% elastane | Stretch coverage layer under the skirt | High stretch supports movement but needs careful fit and opacity review |
| Inner shorts: 80% nylon / 20% elastane | Smooth, close-fitting inner layer | May feel softer, with cost and color matching to consider |
Fabric Weight
GSM means grams per square meter. A higher GSM usually adds body and can reduce the lightness of the garment, but weight alone does not establish coverage or durability. Compare these development targets by component.
| Component and target | Fabric effect | Typical use direction |
|---|---|---|
| Shell: 150 g/m² | Light, softer drape | Warm-weather or lighter-feel skort concepts |
| Shell: 170–190 g/m² | Balanced body and movement | General golf use across mild conditions |
| Shell: 210 g/m² | More body and a firmer drape | Cooler conditions or a more structured appearance |
| Inner shorts: 160–180 g/m² | Lighter close-fitting layer | Reduced bulk under the shell |
| Inner shorts: 200–220 g/m² | Denser, more substantial layer | Greater fabric body, with warmth and bulk to review |
Fabric Construction
For the outer skirt, choose an elastic woven when you want a clearer skirt shape, or an elastic knit when softer drape and easy movement are priorities. The built-in shorts can use a single-face stretch knit or a more open stretch mesh. A more open structure can improve airflow, but coverage and opacity should be checked on the actual sample. The waistband can use a supportive stretch fabric suited to the selected shell and inner-short construction.
Performance Features
- Stretch: Elastane blends can support walking, bending and swing movement when the pattern and recovery are well matched.
- Moisture management: A suitable polyester or nylon knit and fabric finish can help move moisture away from the skin; the result depends on the selected material and finishing.
- Coverage: Shell density and the built-in shorts work together, so opacity should be reviewed in the actual sample under movement and light.
- Inner-short stability: An appropriate rise, close fit and optional anti-slip detail can help limit upward movement without replacing a fit check.
02 / FIT, SIZING & COLOR
Fit Options
The main fit decisions are waist, hip, rise, inner-short length and the waist-to-hem skirt measurement. A-line and straight silhouettes change thigh room and visual drape, while a limited side opening can add walking ease. Use the sample for standing, sitting, walking, bending and golf-swing movement checks. Height differences may change how an 18-inch target looks, so define the measurement method and grading across sizes.
Sizes
We can develop sizes such as XS–3XL around your size chart, base garment pattern and grading plan. Grading means adjusting a pattern across sizes. Define the waist, hip, rise, inner-short length and waist-to-hem measurement for each size, then use the sample to review height differences and movement. Send your preferred size range and measurement chart for discussion.
Color Options
Choose black, navy, white, gray or another program color for a consistent collection. Seasonal colors, color blocking and Pantone-based custom dyeing can also be evaluated. Use a physical or approved digital color reference to align the shell, inner shorts, waistband and decoration.
03 / GARMENT CONSTRUCTION
Construction concept / reference build.
Construction Details
The shell, waistband and built-in shorts must work as one moving garment. Check that the waist-to-hem length remains consistent with the agreed measurement method, while the inner shorts stay positioned during walking, bending and sitting. Pocket openings, flat seams and any anti-slip detail should sit smoothly without interfering with movement or creating visible bulk.
04 / YOUR BRAND & PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Logo Options
Choose decoration according to the fabric stretch, surface and artwork size. Direct embroidery adds a textured mark but can stiffen or pucker a lightweight or highly elastic area; an applied embroidered patch adds a separate layer and edge. Heat transfer and screen printing suit selected smooth surfaces, while a silicone mark or woven label creates a different surface effect. Common areas to evaluate include the front or side waistband, outer skirt panel and pocket area. Provide vector artwork where possible, plus the intended size, colors and placement.
Customization Scope
| Area | Choices | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Skirt length | 18-inch target direction; other lengths may be evaluated | Sets the coverage reference for the program |
| Silhouette | A-line, straight or limited side opening | Balances coverage, visual shape and walking ease |
| Waist | Waistband width and waist/hip pattern adjustments | Improves support and fit across sizes |
| Lower-body structure | Built-in shorts, pocket arrangement and optional anti-slip detail | Supports coverage, storage and movement needs |
05 / ORDER & DEVELOPMENT PLANNING
Minimum Order Planning
Our MOQ is 300 pieces. Send your preferred quantity and intended size and color breakdown so we can discuss the selected fabric, length direction and order details.
Sample Lead Time
Our sample lead time is 7–10 days. Use the sample to assess the waist-to-hem measurement, size grading, waist/hip and rise fit, shell and inner-short fabric, and coverage during standing, sitting, walking and bending.
Bulk Lead Time
Our bulk production lead time is 15–30 days. Share your desired delivery schedule with the quantity, size and color details so we can discuss the production plan. Production time is not an arrival-date promise.
06 / APPROVAL & APPLICATION
Quality & Approval Checks
Use the selected fabric, size specification and sample details as references when agreeing quality requirements for this order.
| Quality point | Reference to compare | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Length and proportions | Agreed waist-to-hem method, rise and graded size chart | Keeps the 18-inch direction consistent across sizes and heights |
| Material | Selected fiber composition, GSM and shell/inner-short construction | Aligns fabric feel, stretch and coverage with the approved choice |
| Fit and movement | Approved sample in standing, sitting, walking and bending positions | Checks waist, hip, rise, inner-short position and coverage |
| Sewing and components | Waistband attachment, pocket openings, hems and flat seam appearance | Confirms clean construction and comfortable contact areas |
| Decoration | Approved artwork size, placement and surface appearance | Prevents distortion or misplaced branding on stretch areas |
